  • Examine records, reports, or other documents to establish facts or find discrepancies
  • Review permits, licenses, and applications to make sure they comply with licensing requirements
  • Interview individuals to determine the nature of suspected violations and to obtain evidence of violations
  • Determine nature of violations and actions to be taken, and issue written notices of violation
  • Prepare correspondence, reports of inspections or investigations, or recommendations for action
  • Maintain current knowledge base of existing and emerging regulations, standards, or guidance
  • Advise project teams or licensees about subjects related to regulations, laws, and other areas of compliance
  • Prepare, organize, and maintain inspection records
